(Temporary prohibition of through traffic) Order 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order  under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily any pedestrian from proceeding over Public Footpaths 3-6-FP43 Billington and 3-45-FP24 Whalley, Ribble Valley, indicated below:-

Public Footpaths 3-6-FP43 Billington and 3-45-FP24 Whalley, Ribble Valley from Point A on Longworth Road (U22827) (GR 372713 435975) to point B on The Sands (U22837) (GR 372818 436215) a total distance of approximately 265 metres.

The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpaths.

Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpaths, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpaths, will be maintained at all times. 

Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works

The Order will be operative from the 17th January, 2019, for a period of 6 weeks or until the works are completed within this period.
