(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) NOTICE 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made and order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding at a speed exceeding 30 MPH on the lengths of highway in the borough of Ribble Valley.
Accrington Road, Whalley, from a point approximately 125 metres in a northerly direction of its junction with Portfield Lane, Whalley, to a point approximately 100 metres in a southerly direction of its junction with Wiswell Lane, Whalley
The prohibition will be operative from 0001 hours on Tuesday the 7th of May 2024 until 2359 hours on Friday the 28th of June 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow for highway hardware maintenance work to be carried out.
