TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATHS 3-45-FP30, FP28 & FP31 WHALLEY, RIBBLE VALLEY

 

Please find attached and below, for your  information,  a copy of the notice and plan in respect of the temporary closure of the above footpaths which came into force on the 28th August, 2022.

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order  under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily any pedestrian from proceeding over the Public Footpaths

indicated below:-

 

Public Footpath 3-45-FP30 Whalley, Ribble Valley, from Point B (SD 3735 – 4364) at the junction with Brookes Lane in a generally east, south easterly direction for approximately 365 metres to Point C ( SD 3738 – 4362)

 

Public Footpath 3-45-FP28 Whalley, Ribble Valley, from Point C (SD 3738 – 4362) in a generally south, south westerly direction for approximately 280 metres to the junction of Accrington Rd at Point D (SD 3737 – 4360)

 

Public Footpath 3-45-FP31 Whalley, Ribble Valley, from Point C (SD 3738 – 4362) in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 370 metres to Point E (SD 3740 – 4359)

The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpaths.

 

Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpaths, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpaths, will be maintained at all times.

 

Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works

 

The Order will be operative from the 28th August, 2022, for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed within this period.

The plan on site shows the routes to be closed as B – C, C – D and C - E. Lancashire County Council is informed that alternative routes via other existing highways are available.
