Opportunity for trips to the Yorkshire Dales by public transport.
A summer bus service returns at Easter opening up access to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, connecting with the popular Yorkshire Dales Explorer Train from Manchester on Saturdays.
You can again enjoy a day in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales using DalesBus service 80 from Ribblehead Station to Hawes. There is plenty of time to explore the town and surrounding countryside including the famous waterfall Hardraw Force, the Dales Countryside Museum and Wensleydale Creamery.
DalesBus service 80 runs every Saturday from 4th April until 17th October 2026, as part of the DalesBus network managed by Dales and Bowland CIC with support from York & North Yorkshire Combined Authority and Lancashire County Council.
The Yorkshire Dales Explorer train leaves Whalley railway station at 92:24 am connecting with the bus from Ribblehead at 10.25am; the return bus leaves Hawes at 5.25pm to connect with the train back from Ribblehead at 6.05pm.
Concessionary passes can be used on the bus, and normal adult fares cost £3 each way. Full details of all bus and train services into and around the Yorkshire Dales National Park are available online at www.dalesbus.org.
