Old Sol's Footbridge

Dear Councillors,
I trust this letter finds you well. I am writing to inform you that further works are scheduled to take place on Old Sols Footbridge. These works will involve remediation of the non-slip surfacing of the bridge deck and will be carried out by TIS Ltd, who were previously appointed for the remedial paint works.
The non-slip surfacing work is set to begin during week commencing 7th April 2025 and will be completed over three consecutive days. A provisional two-week window has been booked for the works to be completed during the Easter term break while weather conditions are favourable. For safety reasons, the footbridge will be closed to pedestrians during the works. The closure will be lifted once the works are completed, no later than 20th April 2025.
A diversion route, same to the one used previously, is attached herewith and will be clearly signposted to minimise inconvenience for pedestrians. As always, we will make every effort to reduce disruption, and TIS Ltd. will implement appropriate pollution and environmental control measures throughout the course of the project.
