(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS 0306043 BILLINGTON AND LANGHO & 0345024 WHALLEY, RIBBLE VALLEY BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for Transport has agreed to the above Order, which was due to expire on the 29th July, 2024, remaining in force until the 29th November, 2024, or until the works are completed within this period. The effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all traffic from proceeding over those lengths of Public Footpaths, indicated below:-
Public Footpaths FP0306043 Billington and Langho & FP0345024 Whalley, Ribble Valley, from Longworth Road at Point A (SD 7271 – 3597) in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 260 metres to The Sands at Point B (SD 7281 – 3621).
The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpaths.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpaths, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpaths, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works.
