Admirals Wood New Ownership – Including the area known as ‘Hellicliffes Bike Park’
17th of November, 2023
Message received from the Land Agents to WPC.
I confirm that the land sale at Whalley has now completed and I will be acting on behalf of the new owners. As indicated previously, the owners have arranged for the area currently being used as a bike park, without permission, to be fenced off from the main section of land due to insurance purposes. The ‘bike area’ is not insurable by the owners for third party liability in its current format. It is imperative that a lease arrangement is put in place to properly cover the use of the bike area, and this must put all insurance and liability upon the ‘users’. The owners are ‘open’ to negotiations, but this must be done quickly and the ‘users’ must adhere to the rules and use the site appropriately. Any acts of vandalism, theft, damage or violence to contractors etc will not be tolerated and the owners will have no alternative but to flatten the site in its entirety. Contact for any such agreement should be made via myself.
There is currently a lot of rubbish being left on the site, as can be seen in the photographs below and this will not be permitted by the owners. Proper access to the bike area is provided within the fencing and this should be used for access at all times. The intention is for the remaining area of land to be stocked with livestock in due course.
No doubt you will discuss this at the next Parish Council meeting, and you also mentioned this information being posted on the Whalley Parish Council website / Facebook page, which would be helpful in getting the correct information across to the people of Whalley.
Many thanks for your help.
Kind Regards
