Dog Fouling Matters
2nd of August, 2023
As a Parish Council we recieve a lot of complaints about dog fouling.
It is a difficult issue to remedy as the dog owners who allow this, full well know their responsibilitles, they just choose not to clear up after their dogs.
We have reported the problem areas to the dog warden and he will patrol these areas and issue fine where appropriate.
Apart from the fact that dog fouling is a nuisance, it's associated with various diseases including 'toxocara canis'. Dog owners should clean up after their dog in public places - you can report dog fouling that isn't cleaned up, to your local council.
As the dog warden can not be in all places at the same time, you can report dog fouling here; https://ribblevalleygov-self.achieveservice.com/service/dog_fouling_report
The dog warden informed us that they have issued penalties from receipt of photographic evidence, video footage and from the 'ring' doorbell cams.
Be part of the solution not the problem.
