BUS SERVICE CHANGES FOR FEBRUARY 2023 WYRE SERVICES Service 24 Fleetwood – Cleveleys – Thornton – Poulton – Blackpool From 12 February Transpora will revise the route and timetable, extending the service from Poulton to Blackpool via Victoria Hospital. The timetable will be revised to operate generally every hour during Monday to Saturday throughout the whole route with additional Monday to Friday journeys between Cleveleys and Poulton. The section between Fleetwood and Cleveleys will operate in partnership with Lancashire County Council.
PRESTON SERVICES Service 43 Preston – Cottam – Royal Preston Hospital Service 44 Preston – Ingol – Cottam From Monday 6 February 2023 to Sunday 30 April 2023; Cottam, Sidgreaves Lane, Lea Road & Cottam Way will be closed due to the construction of the Preston Western Distributor Road & other Works Services 43 & 44 will be operating a temporary timetable during these works until their completion Service 43 will operate as normal from Preston to Cottam (Ancient Oak) then continue along Merry Trees Lane, Haydocks Lane, Cottam Way, Lea Road roundabout, returning via Cottam Way and Tom Benson Way to resume route to Lightfoot Lane & Royal Preston Hospital Return journey reverse route. Hoyles Lane, Sidgreaves Lane and Lea Road will not be served Service 44 will operate as normal to Cottam (Sidgreaves Lane) then use the bus turning circle outside Lea Endowed Primary School, and returning via Hoyles Lane, Tag Lane and Tom Benson Way to Cottam (Tanterton Hall Road) to continue as normal return route to Preston Bus Station Cottam Way, Haydocks Lane and Merry Trees Lane will not be served but the area will be served by Service 43.
CHORLEY SERVICES Service 337/347 Chorley – Croston – Ormskirk/Southport From 20 February Lancashire County Council will revise the timetables, with minor adjustments to some journey times to improve overall service reliability. Stagecoach continues to operate these services on behalf of Lancashire County Council.
