TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH 3-45-FP8 WHALLEY, RIBBLE VALLEY

Please find attached, for your information,  a copy of the notice and plan in respect of the temporary closure of the above footpath which comes into force on the 5th November, 2022.

 

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH  3-45-FP8 WHALLEY, RIBBLE VALLEY BOROUGH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order  under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Public Footpath                               indicated below:-

 

Public Footpath 3-45-FP8 Whalley, Ribble Valley, from point A (grid ref 373565 437780 ) at the junction with Clitheroe Road in a generally westerly direction for approximately 502 metres to point B (grid ref 373094 437913).

 

The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpath.

 

Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpath, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpath, will be maintained at all times.

 

Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works

 

The Order will be operative from the 5th November, 2022, for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed within this period.

NOT PART OF THE STATUTORY NOTICE

 

The plan on site shows the route to be closed as A - B. Lancashire County Council is informed that an alternative route is available via Footpath 3-45-FP7 Whalley, 3-47-FP7 Wiswell and Clitheroe Road.

 

The alternative route has not been inspected in connection with this closure. Please contact the Rights of Way Team, during office hours, on 01772 530317 if necessary.
